The weather has been pretty unpredictable around here this week. Two nights ago we heard a very loud, strange noise. My sweetie asked if I thought it was the wind. From the looks of the flying leaves, I figured that was a good bet, but asked if he thought it might be rain. I asked as he swished open the big door that leads to our deck. His very concise answer, “Yup”! Not only was it raining, but it was coming down in a completely different direction from usual. Without even stepping out of the house, he was completely soaked! I was thrilled that our power remained on, even with the heavy winds and lightning - I didn’t want to have to head to a treadle machine to finish my things for Saturday classes!
Wishing you peaceful moments for stitching this week,
Mary Beth

Our Saturday Sampler session is going to work a little differently this week (10-26-24). I’m heading to Quilt Market (to find wonderful new things for you!), thus this will be a “grab and go” session. This means you may pick up your next kit in the series, which will contain the block pattern and fabrics, a letter detailing what is going on in the shop, and any information needed to construct the block at any time Saturday during regular store hours (10:00am-4:00pm). Both an in progress new block, and a completed block will be on display in the shop. Remember to bring your completed block from last month in order to receive the kit as our gift.
Our October Stash Management session will work in the same way, a grab and go session. There will be a packet containing club information and the next pattern in the series in the shop for you. You may pick it up any time during the day Saturday (10-26-24).

From Our Table
November 2nd - 16th
Each year your friends that work in the shop create displays featuring their beautiful stitching (in the form of unique table pieces) and the things they would use with the piece in their own homes. While they are great fun to create and see, we have an ulterior motive… We use this event as a way to support the local, independent food pantry. We will trade you ballots (so you can vote for your favorite display!) for donations to the pantry. Everything from non perishable food, to paper products, cleaning supplies, and even monetary donations is so very appreciated by the community. Thank you in advance!

Holiday Open House
November 1st & 2nd
The shop will look a lot more like Christmas when you visit at the beginning of November. New patterns, books, fabrics and gift items, all with a holiday theme, will be found in every corner of the shop. You will want to enter your name in the drawing for our holiday themed goodie basket and snag a sweet and our 2025 QC Date Book when you visit (it is our gift to you during the open house!).
