Greetings!
Duprees did a really nice thing right before Christmas. They supplied businesses along Route 88 with the supplies to make luminaria to mark the special evening. On Christmas Eve we headed to the shop just before dusk, and set out the white bags weighted with sand, holding tiny battery powered tea lights (safer when no one will be around to put out real candles!). Of course it started to rain as we worked, and later began to snow. It snowed a lot… When we got back to the store we discovered the pretty little bags had been plowed into the snowbanks. It would be sad if that was the end of the story, but it’s not… As the snow melted, and I picked up the crumpled bags, I discovered that every tea light was still twinkling! I found the last ones today, three weeks later, still going strong! I’m sure there’s a profound lesson in the story somewhere, but I just appreciate the smile they brought every time I found another small light!

QC Fat Quarter Fling (in store)

Our Fat Quarter Fling has become a guest favorite - no wonder - on Saturday, January 16th all pre-cut, in stock fat quarters are just $1.33 each! We are excited to offer the event again this year. That being said, common sense, and our concern for you, means we will follow all state and federal health mandates during the event. Please remember a face mask is required to shop inside Quilters Corner, we offer hand sanitizer as you enter, social distancing and occupancy numbers are adhered to, and there isn’t a restroom available. Even with those restrictions, this event is not to be missed - can you imagine the great quilts you can make with your haul?!!

QC Fat Quarter Fling (on line!)
Saturday ~ January 16th
For those that love fat quarters, but are not able to visit the shop (or chose to social distance by staying home) we have a new Fling option!!!! You may order a set of twelve fat quarters at our Fling price! The sets of twelve are offered in either classic or contemporary, multi color and print fat stacks. The photo here will give an idea of the style prints you will find in your stack, but are not necessarily the prints you will find when you open your package. When you order your stack tomorrow, Saturday (1-16-21), it will be just $15.95 (rather than the regular price of $35.95!). Fabrics will be selected and packaged for you on Monday (at which point they will be mailed - shipping rates apply, or will be available for pick up). You may order one stack at the Fling price using code FQ-FLING at checkout. Fling page will be active and code can be used on 1/16/21 from 10am - 5pm

This Saturday, January 16th, we will have block of the month packets ready for those in our Halloween Figs program and for those in the new Bliss program (fingers crossed all the patterns for this one arrive by Saturday!). Both quilts are wonderful, and easily created little by little. If you are looking for other projects to work this way, consider registering for our Saturday Sampler programs, or for Humble & Heartfelt, Graphic Jam, or Dear Jen. In all cases, wonderful projects that are fun to work a little at a time. |

Speaking of Dear Jen, we just took Jen Kingwell’s Winkipop prints out of the box! They are going to be the perfect addition to my Dear Jen quilt. The prints we received are offered in salmon, blue and chartreuse. The group includes dots, tiny stripes, little squares, and funky florals, all with a vintage vibe. I didn’t do it on purpose, but the pieces perfectly coordinate with the first blocks I’ve already made for the project (which feature Jen’s Lollies, so I guess it’s not that much of a surprise…). Jen suggests 6 1/2 to 11 yards of a wide variety of prints for the Dear Jen quilt - I figure that means I can add at least a 1/2 yard of each to my collection!

Please note ~ Our shop hours are currently 10:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Saturday.
