As you might imagine, kit making has been a bit more of a challenge this year, due to fabric shipment irregularities. Please order soon, as the available kits will go very quickly!
Your Snow Day kit will contain fabrics for the top and binding of our 2021 design, but surprise - no pattern! You will receive the pattern, via email, on the first day in 2021 Quilters Corner in Finleyville, PA receives 6” or more of snow (yup, the snow has to fall all in a single day!). That means you will be able to spend your snow day stitching! If we are lucky enough to escape our usual storms this year, you will receive the pattern via email on February 14th.
The 2021 pattern is inspired by a pieced quilt from the 1800’s. Our 56 1/2” x 56 1/2” version looks much like the original (the piecing travels from edge to edge), but will be created with modern techniques. We also offer an additional optional border kit that will allow you to expand the quilt to 83 1/2” x 83 1/2” (your emailed pattern will include directions for both versions of the quilt). This year you may select Pastel (with Peach accent), Historic (Kansas Green accent), or Black and White (Saffron accent) for your 56 1/2” x 56 1/2” quilt (enough binding is included in your kit for either this, or the bordered size quilt). Optional border kits are made to coordinate and thus, best ordered at the same time!
